Hi, I'm Heather

JBC · LANGFORD - VANCOUVER ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA

I'm a Junior Behaviour Consultant based in Langford, BC. Using evidence-based strategies, I am driven by identifying and thoughtfully tailoring tools and approaches that will best support each child and family I work with. More than anything, I want families to know that they are not alone. I show up for your child and I show up for you — with patience, curiosity, and a genuine belief that every family deserves to thrive..

Beyond the office

When my consultant hat comes off, I am a proud mom to a son and daughter, and a wife to my husband, who together make Vancouver Island our home. Together we love to go on new adventures exploring across the island, getting our hands dirty in the garden, and settling in for board games and puzzles by the fire.

My Story

  • My journey into this field began with a guest speaker at my ASL and Deaf Studies program at Vancouver Community College. I had always known I wanted to be a one-on-one support and resource for children who need that dedicated presence to achieve milestones in their everyday lives — so I applied for my first Behaviour Interventionist position, and the rest is herstory.

  • fter completing my masters program, I joined a private clinic in Dublin, working alongside a Psychologist and Behaviour Specialist. Throughout my career I have supported children in the areas of language development, academic skills, daily living, and social-emotional learning — always working to meet each child exactly where they are. What I love most is finding the way that child learns best, and then watching what happens next. When a child acquires a new skill in a way that truly works for them, their confidence grows, their self-esteem lifts, and their sense of what they are capable of begins to bloom. That moment never gets old — and it's exactly that moment of magic that fuels my hunger to keep learning, keep growing, and keep creating more opportunities for every child and family I work with.

My Approach

  • I have supported children across language development, academic skills, daily living, and social-emotional learning. My passion is finding the unique way each child learns best — and then building on that. I hold specialities in DeafPlus and Down Syndrome.

  • I am driven by evidence-based strategies, tailored thoughtfully to each individual child and family. I meet every child exactly where they are, and I believe every family deserves a consultant who shows up — not just for the child, but for the whole family unit.

  • You are not alone. Whether you are feeling stuck or unsure of what comes next, I am here — with patience, curiosity, and a genuine belief that your family can thrive. Our team is here to come alongside you and support you through this journey.
