Speech & Language
Our speech-language pathology services are built around connection, communication, and your child's unique strengths. We offer two pathways to work with us, and both begin the same way: a space to share what you are noticing, explore your family's priorities, and build a picture of your child together before anything is recommended or planned.
Pathways
-
Flexible, team-centred SLP support — without ongoing direct sessions.
What this is?
The consultation model is designed for families, caregivers, and professionals who are looking for expert guidance and a clear plan, without committing to ongoing therapy sessions. Hannah collaborates with you and your team to deepen understanding of your child’s communication strengths, build practical strategies, and create meaningful direction for your team.
Who this is for?
• Families and caregivers wanting guidance and confidence in supporting their child’s communication at home
• Teams (educators, therapists, support workers) looking for SLP input to inform their approach
• Anyone wanting parent training or consultation around speech, language, or AAC
• Situations where a family wants a professional opinion and plan to support speech and language goals across all adults supporting their child (e.g., school, home, community, etc.)
• Families with children struggling with feeding challenges. Hannah provides feeding support services based on the SOS approach to feeding. This approach is stress free and play based with the purpose of increasing comfort around food.
What to expect?
Here is how the consultation process unfolds. All time estimates below reflect typical ranges — pacing is always shaped by your child and your family.
1. Initial Team Meeting (approx. 1 hour)
● A one-hour virtual conversation with you and any relevant team members. This is a space to slow down, share what you’re noticing, celebrate your child’s strengths, ask questions, and explore what support might look like. Hannah will guide this meeting with strategic questions to help get a better understanding of areas that require her support.
2. Observation Session (approx. 1 hour)
● Hannah will spend approximately one hour observing, either directly with your child (if they’re comfortable and interested), or alongside a parent, caregiver, or team member. This gives her a fuller, more grounded picture of your child’s communication in context to inform recommendations and strategies. This also may be a time where she asks the adult to support and try various strategies to determine effectiveness.
3. Consultation Report (approx. 30–60 minutes of preparation)
● Based on what Hannah has learned about your child and team, she will prepare a written report outlining key observations, strengths, and tailored recommendations. The scope and format of this report will be discussed with you beforehand so it’s as useful as possible for your specific situation.
4. Plan Review Meeting (approx. 30–60 minutes)
● A follow-up meeting to walk through the report together, answer questions, and discuss next steps. This is a collaborative conversation and your input shapes how the plan comes to life for your team and your child.
Estimated total time?
Approximately 3.5–4.5 hours across all stages, billed at $180/hour. Final scope is always discussed and agreed upon with you before work begins. See appendix A for budget outlines.

Ongoing, virtual therapy sessions for your child directly provided by Hannah — grounded in connection, fun and child-led.
What this is?
Direct support involves Hannah working regularly with your child in individual virtual sessions. Sessions are child-led, connection-based. Hannah follows your child’s interests and emotional cues to build engagement and communication naturally. You are an active part of this process; parents and caregivers are welcome to attend sessions so that growth extends into everyday life.
Hannah has had remarkable success supporting speech and language communication virtually, even in cases where others thought virtual delivery wouldn’t be possible. Her approach makes virtual sessions genuinely meaningful and engaging for children.
Who this is for?
• Children and teens who may benefit from direct, ongoing virtual support
• Speech sound difficulties or pattern-based speech errors
• Expressive or receptive language delays
• Autism and social communication
• Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and AAC
• Narrative skills, comprehension, and vocabulary (school-age)
• Building self-esteem and confidence in communicating wants, needs and within social relationships.
• Executive functioning and emotional literacy
• Structured literacy support - explicit, systematic, and code-based instruction of 'reading rules', supporting client to build their confidence in decoding.
What to expect?
Direct support begins with the same foundational assessment phase as the consultation model. Time estimates are always just that, estimates. Hannah’s pacing is responsive to your child and your family.
1. Initial Team Meeting (approx. 1 hour)
● A one-hour virtual conversation with you and any relevant team members to understand your child’s goals, strengths, values, and what matters most to your family. This is a space for sharing, not screening.
2. Observation Session (approx. 1 hour)
● Hannah will spend approximately one hour observing your child, either directly (if they’re willing and comfortable) or alongside a parent or team member to get a genuine, context-rich picture of how they communicate and engage.
3. Goal Development & Planning (approx. 30–60 minutes)
● Based on what she’s learned, Hannah will design an initial set of therapy goals that reflect your child’s strengths and your family’s priorities. These are shared with you and any other members of your child’s team, so everyone is aligned and informed.
4. Ongoing Direct Sessions
● Regular virtual sessions with your child, with parents and caregivers actively involved. Session frequency and structure are shaped collaboratively with you. Goals are revisited and adjusted as your child grows and their needs evolve.
● To ensure thoughtful and accurate record-keeping, 7–10 minutes of each booked hour is set aside for clinician documentation. This is built into the session time and will always be discussed with your family beforehand so there are no surprises.
Estimated initial assessment time?
Approximately 2.5–3.5 hours across the assessment phase, billed at $180/hour. Ongoing session rates and
frequency are discussed together before sessions begin.
